Template for review. This is not legal advice. Check it against the services actually enabled before launch.

This policy explains what information Design Grounds ("we", "us") collects when you visit https://designgrounds.com, and how it is used.

Information we collect

  • Usage data: pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, approximate location (country/region), collected by our analytics provider.
  • Information you send us: your email address and message when you contact us, and photos plus related details if you submit a yard photo.

Cookies and advertising

We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be shown a consent message (via a Google-certified consent management platform) before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.

Analytics

We use [Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less / Google Analytics 4: pick one] to understand which pages are useful. [If GA4: Google Analytics uses cookies; see Google's privacy policy.]

Affiliate links

Some links go to retailers (for example Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot) who may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Yard photo submissions

Submitted photos are used only within the scope you agree to in the submission form. We strip location metadata (EXIF/GPS) and blur house numbers, faces and license plates before publishing. You can ask us to remove your photo at any time.

Data retention and your rights

We keep emails and submissions only as long as needed to respond or publish with permission. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Email [email protected].

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
